Iran actor Navid Mohammadzadeh wins award in Iraq

Iran actor Navid Mohammadzadeh has won award from the third Slemani International Film Festival in Iraq.

Mohammadzadeh has grabbed the Best Actor award for his role in Vahid Jalilvand’s award-winning movie ‘No Date, No Signature’.

Born in 1986, the actor learnt the profession by attending acting classes and then turned into stage acting.

His debut movie was 2008 ‘Among the Clouds’ by Rouhollah Hejazi. Some of the cinematic works that he has appeared in, since then, are ‘Fat shaker’ (2012), ‘Nahid’ (2013) and ‘Life and a Day’ (2015).

The actor has been the recipient of several awards and nominations including Best actor award from 2015 Bratislava International film festival.

His performance in the movie ‘Life and a Day’ won him a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a supporting role.

Acting in ‘No Date, No Signature’ has also brought him several awards such as Orizzonti Award for Best Actor in Italy.

The Slemani International Film Festival is wrapped up on October 16, 2018, in Iraqi region of Sulaymaniyah.
